As the days passed and the kidnapper failed to collect the ransom, the FBI was called in to help. FBI special agents and professionals from the FBI Laboratory, played a crucial role in solving the case. Handwriting experts trained assigned investigators to examine millions of samples, ultimately identifying Angelo LaMarca as the perpetrator. Their diligent work and expert analysis were instrumental in bringing justice to the Weinberger family.
