Fairstead is growing in Texas! As covered by the Commercial Observer, Fairstead has recently acquired Yale Village Apartments, a 250-unit affordable community located in Houston, Texas. With 25,000 units now under ownership in just our 10th year as a company, we are proud to continue to provide high quality property management services for our residents as we focus on revitalizing affordable housing communities nationwide. Our thanks to our incredible community-focused partners and lenders on the acquisition: Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation, HOUSTON HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION, CREA, LLC, Lument, and Woodforest National Bank. Fairstead is proud to have been named a recipient of NYSERDA’s New Empire Building Challenge (EBC)!   At last week’s launch celebration, our Director of Energy & Sustainability, Michael (Mick) Gilbert, engaged in insightful discussions with leaders from NYSERDA, Building Energy Exchange, RMI, and the Urban Land Institute about the EBC.   This initiative will bolster Fairstead’s decarbonization efforts in affordable housing and reflects our commitment to finding new ways to enhance sustainability through proptech and other measures.    A special shoutout to our team members Aki Karja, Michael (Mick) Gilbert, Kelvin (KC) Hoppel, and Charles R. who each play a pivotal role in our EBC participation and in Fairstead’s broader sustainability efforts nationwide.   Finally, our thanks to NYSERDA for the creation of its new Retrofit Playbook, which allows professionals to access case studies, technical guides, and financial tools and incentives centered around carbon neutrality.    To learn more and start your building’s success story, check out the Retrofit Playbook: https://lnkd.in/gh3h2UUS 

Fairstead is incredibly proud to have officially cut the ribbon on our renovations at Kinneret Apartments in sunny Orlando, Florida!   Our sincerest thanks to the many local elected officials who joined the event, including Orlando City Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orlando City Commissioner Patty Sheehan, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, Orange County Commissioner Mayra Uribe, Florida State Senator Linda Stewart, and Florida State Representative Anna V. Eskamani, MPA, MNM. And to partners such as Regions Bank and KINNERET COUNCIL ON AGING INC who care so deeply about this community.   Yesterday’s celebration at Kinneret builds on what is already an exciting year at Fairstead as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary as a company. The renovation of the Kinneret Apartments is a win for the older residents who live there and our entire city. Thanks to Fairstead and Regions Bank, the 280-unit complex in downtown Orlando has been updated to be modern, energy-efficient and designed in a way to serve residents of all mobility levels. Mayor Dyer and Commissioner Sheehan joined residents and community leaders to celebrate the completion of the renovations today. We thank all those involved for supporting the City of Orlando's commitment to being an age-friendly community for seniors.

Team Fairstead was thrilled to participate in One Huge Night for one incredible cause, Gift of Life Marrow Registry! During the event, Fairstead CEO Jeff Goldberg was honored to accept the Corporate Partner Award in recognition of Fairstead’s work to support Gift of Life’s mission to ensure every person battling blood cancer can have a second chance at life. 🌟 Spotlight on Woodbridge Manor, Irvine, California 🌟   As the proud stewards of this 165-unit affordable senior community, Fairstead is excited to be in the final stages of renovations at Woodbridge Manor.   With three community rooms, two computer labs, and the immensely popular community garden, we’re incredibly proud of all that Woodbridge Manor has to offer our residents.   Most recently, we were thrilled to host a company-wide Town Hall where we were joined by the property’s Resident Service Coordinator, Michelle, who shared what makes working at Woodbridge Manor so fulfilling. At its root, Michelle highlighted her love for serving Woodbridge’s incredibly diverse group of residents, including two remarkable centenarians living at the property!   Join us in celebrating the Woodbridge Manor team and our commitment to community building as we spotlight this multi-cultural community.
