Spencer Workman was recently promoted to Safety Manager and is responsible for all aspects of safety on a site level. Spencer promotes Exxel’s “Safety as a Value” culture and implements site safety policies and procedures. Spencer provides detailed safety inspections, thorough accident investigations, safety plan reviews, safety meetings, and ensures safety documentation in completed among other tasks. He works with owners, owner’s representatives, and outside agencies to produce safety solutions and ensure regulatory compliance is maintained. Spencer also works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure they are supported in achieving safety success. Spencer recently accomplished his master’s degree from Central Washington University. He enjoys playing the drums, golfing, and keeping up with many sports including his primary passion of NASCAR. Members of our Exxel team recently spent an afternoon volunteering with Common Threads at the Cordata Elementary School Garden weeding, harvesting, and doing general garden beautification. Common Threads is a Bellingham based non-profit that connects kids to healthy food in the garden, in the kitchen, and at the table. Exxel Pacific employees participated in the Puget Sound's Hard Hats with Heart Walk last year and won the Hard Hat Cup! We were proud to officially accept the trophy from the Heart Association recently. Over 343,000 construction workers nationwide have been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease. The Puget Sound's Hard Hats with Heart hard hat cup, organized by the American Heart Association, underscores the importance of cardiovascular health within the construction industry. Northgate Project Update: The project team is in the final stages of completing the exterior siding installation. Owner interior punch-list inspections have been successfully completed on levels four and five in the West Wing and will soon extend to the lower levels. Middle Wing units are undergoing the final installation phase for bathroom accessories and kitchen appliances and significant progress is being made with the installation of countertops and cabinets in the East Wing. The Live/Work units are beginning cabinetry installations. Preparation has started for the polishing of the exposed concrete flooring in the level one common areas, followed by the sand finishing of the exposed Glulam beams. #ExxelPacific #TeamOwnedTeamBuilt #Northgate
