That same principle applies to the workforce, which is why we adapted "You Do You" Fridays, which offer our team flexibility and help them find the balance between work and rest so that they can reach their full potential. Greg Hill, Chief People Officer at Exos, joined The Modern People Leader podcast and Daniel Huerta to discuss the benefits of our Readiness Culture Code, share advice for HR leaders, and more. The Modern People Leader Podcast

Greg Hill dropped some insights from Exos' experiment with the Four-Day Workweek that they explored with Adam Grant and his team at Wharton. Wharton’s team dived deep, tracking success with performance data, wearables, surveys, and productivity metrics like email and calendar usage. They wanted to see if people could show up and perform at a whole new level. Meanwhile, Exos focused on sales performance and the Net Promoter Score (NPS) of their coaches, along with voluntary turnover, candidate attraction, and time to hire. Greg said, “All these metrics trended very positively. Our sales and revenue goals increased by about 200%, and our financial metrics, NPS scores, and employee NPS were significantly higher.” He also stressed the need to get a read on how managers and leaders view team performance in a four-day setup, and how this ties into bonuses and performance management. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆: 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 ⚡️ When the afternoon hits after several hours of productive morning work, it can become challenging to keep up your level of productivity. To get back on track, jumpstart your mind with some physical exercise! Just several minutes of movement is enough to get your blood pumping, release endorphins, and increase your focus for the next several hours. While you never need an excuse to take a midday recharge break (in fact, we encourage you to take microbreaks daily), #InternationalSelfCareDay is the perfect opportunity to ignite a habit of intentional recovery from hours spent at your desk. The shift to hybrid and remote work rewrote the rule book for coworking and office culture, and with that came new processes and untested systems, which naturally allowed inefficiencies around how meetings are conducted to creep in. In fact, recent studies have shown an overwhelming number of employees don’t have enough uninterrupted focus time during the work day, while a significant percentage of meetings are likely unnecessary. This meeting inefficiency negatively impacts productivity and engagement, with a cost estimate in the hundreds of billions of dollars. The good news? It doesn’t have to be this way. When meetings are run well, they not only foster better decisions but also leave attendees feeling energized and motivated to carry the momentum forward independently. Check out our tips on how to reignite your organization's meeting strategy and unlock greater productivity and engagement. ⬇️

🔋 We're in the middle of summer travel season. If you're using paid time off, make sure to fully disconnect in order to adequately rest, recharge, and recover, so that you can return to the office energized and motivated. Are you using PTO this summer? If so, what are your plans?
