Along the banks of Lake Superior, Essentia Health's St. Mary's Medical Center redefines the patient experience and challenges contemporary #healthcaredesign strategies with bold, innovative, and sustainable solutions. Our design team and partners envisioned a hospital environment that is comfortable, welcoming, and efficient for patients, families, and staff. Its iconic façade pays homage to the rolling fog of the largest lake in the world and provides striking views throughout each of its 19 floors. Its public areas have the engaging warmth of hospitality spaces, and its patient-centric design drives impactful outcomes by consolidating adaptable inpatient rooms, procedure rooms, and flexibly planned outpatient spaces. At nearly a million SF and the length of 2 football fields, this monumental hospital remains a community-based hospital that puts patients and families first. https://lnkd.in/efCAe96x

The local government in Fayetteville, NC, is championing a new event and performing arts center to attract top-billing entertainment and generate revenue and exciting entertainment for the city. The existing Crown Complex venues, built between 1967 and 1997, need modernization. EwingCole worked alongside the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners and the community to design the state-of-the-art 137,000 SF facility. This multi-million-dollar investment will reflect the community’s values and serve as an economic catalyst for the region. Adhering to guiding principles and the theme “Out of Many, One,” the design embraces the area’s natural aesthetic, ensuring a cohesive and inclusive community space. Key features include: 🔷 A 3,000-seat main event center with VIP and general admission balconies 🔷 A multi-use banquet room with smaller meeting rooms 🔷 A VIP Lounge, feature bars, and venue food service spaces 🔷 A roof terrace offering panoramic views of the downtown area Designed to host concerts, comedy shows, Broadway productions, local performances, banquets, and conventions, the center includes advanced performance upgrades like flexible stage configurations, enhanced rigging capabilities, diverse seating options, backstage support spaces, and improved amenities. We are excited to contribute to a project that will be a unique addition to Cumberland County! https://lnkd.in/gX8vWfpK #EwingCole #CrownEventCenter #CommunityDevelopment #PerformingArts #FayettevilleNC

20 years goes by quickly! The original design team for Citizens Bank Park recently reunited for a quick photo-op during Game 3 against the LA Dodgers. Back in 2004, Craig Schmitt, Don Jones, Kevin Murphy, RA, and McConnell Robert moonlighted as models for a painting by Max Mason depicting a fan’s POV inside the brand-new park. The painting has been proudly displayed in the stadium's main lobby ever since. Here’s to 20 more years of memories at Citizens Bank Park! ⚾ #ThrowbackThursday #CitizensBankPark #EwingCole #PhiladelphiaPhillies #Architecture #SportsDesign #TeamReunion #BallparkDesign
