This week, we brought our Corporate Support team together for two days of meetings in Scottsdale, AZ. The focus of the meeting was simple: how to build an organization that approaches opportunities and tackles challenges through developing a shared common understanding and collaborative execution. Many great ideas were shared, and plans were put in place, focusing on simplicity, which is a critical component of developing a shared common understanding and collaborative execution. Most importantly, as a fully remote organization, we got to spend time together, not just talking about the business but also about our personal lives, aspirations, and things that bring us joy. It was time well spent and will be essential to how we charge forward in the second half of 2024.

Go River North!!!
Last Tuesday marked the opening of our newest European Wax Center franchise location in the River North neighborhood in downtown Chicago. This marks location #50 for EWC Growth and our 13th location in Illinois Market with # 14 coming in October in the Wicker Park neighborhood! The entire corporate support team, field leadership team, and center team crushed it with this center! So proud and excited to see them continue to grow this amazing location after an outstanding first week!!!

Each June we celebrate the progress the LGBTQ community has made over the past 55 years in pursuit of rights in which all people should be afforded: dignity, equality, and acceptance. In recent decades, Pride has shifted from its roots as a radical liberation movement to a more cheerful celebration, but it is important to acknowledge its beginnings. June 28, 1969, this date marks the beginning of the Stonewall Uprising, a series of events between police and LGBTQ protesters against police brutality and oppression which lasted six days. June celebrates the progress of LGBTQ rights and acceptance which was made possible thanks to the courage and revolutionary spirit of the Black and Brown trans women at the Stonewall Riots. Fifty-five years on, let’s celebrate our LGBTQ associates, guests, and loved ones by standing in solidarity with them, while recognizing this important historical moment as we work toward a more just and equitable future for all.
