The EWC Large Scale Pilot (LSP) phase-1 is live! We are thrilled to announce the launch of the EWC piloting phase. The EU Digital Wallet Consortium (EWC) is a major initiative to explore the end-to-end user journey and the value of the EU Digital Identity Wallet. Our focus areas include travel, payments with PID, Age verification checks, Student benefits, etc. It also focuses on Organisation ID for selected use cases such as LPID issuance, procurement, cross-border subsidiary establishment, and receipts. Key highlights of Phase 1 pilots: 1. Testing the app with a focus on travel scenarios involving individual wallets, issuers, and verifiers. 2. iGrant.io™ Data Wallet is one of the three wallets compliant with EWC RFCs, has commenced its pilot rollout with three specific use cases. 3. EWC enhances interoperability among all wallets through RFCs and testing with the Interoperability Test Bed (ITB). 4. The EU Digital Wallet Consortium (EWC) is about to start its phase 1 pilots. However, did you know that a pre-pilot event took place earlier this year? UAegean i4m Lab hosted a workshop as part of the ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival . Participants were able to register for the workshop and book ferry tickets to #travel to the event using an early prototype of the EU Digital Identity Wallet gathering interesting insights on its use.
