At Eskaton, working with residents can feel like family, sometimes literally. Elva-Jean first started working for Eskaton Village Roseville because of her grandmother who was one of the very first residents to live in the community. Ten years later, Elva-Jean works as a Resident Medication Assistant and plays a pivotal role in caring for our senior residents. Check out the video and listen to Elva-Jean discuss what she enjoys most about her work. Eskaton Employee Spotlight is a monthly video series that highlights team members from each of our residential living communities. Eskaton Land Park recently held a very special lavender-themed Lunch & Learn. Organized by Residential Living Advisor, Latoya Pulanco, RCFE, the Lunch & Learn event included a full presentation of our Land Park community while guests enjoyed a lunch prepared by Chef Lin, our Director of Culinary Experience. As part of her specially prepared lunch, Chef Lin baked lavender shortbread cookies for attendees to take home after their tour. The lavender theme was chosen by Latoya to symbolize the tranquility, peace, and relaxation that residents experience living in our community. Our guests even got to take home the lavender bundles from the lunch centerpieces so they could bring back the relaxing aroma with them. #SeniorLivingCommunity #LunchandLearn #WeAreEskaton

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending CAL FIRE's ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the Ponderosa Fire Center. Eskaton President and CEO Sheri Peifer joined CAL FIRE representatives at the site of the former Eskaton Cameron Park to commemorate the building's new purpose of housing over 125 firefighters and support personnel. Our organization is proud to partner with CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit and for the opportunity to support our incredible first responders.

We're always amazed by the creativity and generosity of our dedicated team. Our hats are off to Alicia Rist, Executive Director of Eskaton Village Grass Valley, for organizing this free farmers market for her staff. "We are always brainstorming on wellness opportunities for our staff," Alicia explained. "Last week was National Eat Your Vegetables Day, and why not host a farmers market to support our staff in health, nutrition, and their household budget? Organizing a farmers market for our employees was truly an incredible experience, especially given the current grocery costs. It was not only a fantastic opportunity for our team to access fresh produce, herbs, snacks, and flowers, but also a refreshing and cost-effective alternative amidst the increasingly expensive grocery market." We're grateful to our leaders, like Alicia, for creating an inclusive and caring culture amongst team members with fun activities like this!

I spent $92 at the grocery store on just four things. Dog food, coffee, fruit, and a steak. 🤯 We are always brainstorming on wellness opportunities for our staff. So… last week was National eat your vegetables day, and why not host a farmers market to support our staff in health, nutrition, and their household budget? Times are tough these days. Organizing a farmers market for our employees was truly an incredible experience, especially given the current grocery costs. It was not only a fantastic opportunity for our team to access fresh produce, herbs, snacks, and flowers, but also a refreshing and cost-effective alternative amidst the increasingly expensive grocery market. ⭐️ Free of charge on this special day! The positive feedback and enthusiasm from our employees underscore the value and impact of providing this resource, enhancing their well-being and giving them a break on the crazy grocery store prices. 🥔 🥬 🍌 🍎 🌿 🍊 thank you to our team members for all they do every day. #eskaton #ageisbeautiful #farmersmarket

Welcome to Eskaton! Our most recent Open House at Eskaton Village Carmichael brought the red carpet treatment to our guests. Thanks to our Residential Living Advisor, Joe Farrish, the group of prospective residents received a warm welcome, informational presentation, and guided tour of our campus (including a comfortable ride in our Eskaton golf cart). We love opportunities to make a great first impression! #SeniorLivingCommunity #OpenHouse #WeAreEskaton
