🌍 Synergies for Integrated Care: A Joint Discussion Among Key European Projects On October 28-29, 2024, the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA)  co-organized in collaboration with the Joint Action NFP4 HEALTH , the Horizon Europe THCS, the Joint Action JACARDI  and the Horizon Europe HNN 3.0 , a significant event in Rome, focusing on integrated care. I am honesltly proud and glad to be a part of this hard working ERA4Health Partnership, achieving so much our two first years with four thematic calls and now also the preanouncement of Investigator Initiated Clinical studies is out! I believer our Partnership really make a difference with all our transversal activeties (workshops, trainings, networks) and in the way we integrate ethics and Responsible Research and Inovation metodology in our own work, governance model and in calls. Not at least do Norwegian scientists succeed very well in the two Horizon Europe cofund calls of 2024 (NutriBrain and NanoTecMec)! Norges forskningsråd and funding partners will fund eight high quality health and technology related projects with European and International partners. Very many of these projects have both a Norwegian enterprise and Norwegian academia in the same project. A new paper has been published on funding investigator-initiated clinical studies (IICSs). 📚 The paper seeks to identify barriers and provide answers to questions that are less likely to be answered by studies funded by other industries.   The main barriers identified are: – Limitations of budget and duration of the eligibility of costs – Lack of flexibility to move funds transnationally – Tendering rules – Complexity in the reporting of the eligible costs to funders   Delve into the article, which explores why there is a need to support multinational IICS, what their objectives should be and what the funding mechanisms in Europe currently are: https://lnkd.in/dbD4QCYt ISCIII and ECRIN are beneficiaries of the ERA4Health Partnership, Horizon Europe Framework Programme, co-funded by the European Union. Two mappings produced by Era4Health published as support material for multinational #ACTEU clinical trials by non-commercial sponsors. The ACT EU initiative aims to identify gaps, issues and bottlenecks (regulatory, resourcing, operational) that present challenges for non-commercial sponsors in the conduct of clinical trials and multinational trials in particular. The programme intends to propose pragmatic and harmonised solutions to support non-commercial sponsors setting up and conducting clinical trials across the European Union / European Economic Area.   We are thrilled to see that the deliverables developed through the ERA4Health Partnership are featured for support on the hashtag#ACTEU Multinational clinical trials by non-commercial sponsors   https://lnkd.in/eKR8PSST   These include the mapping of funding sources and the mapping of existing support organisations for multinational IICS. Our colleagues from Water4All - Partnership  inform us that their Joint Transnational Call on “Water for Circular Economy” is open!. Research and innovation proposals submitted under the Water4All 2024 Joint Transnational Call are required to address at least one of the following topics: 👉    Topic 1. Enhancement of water circularity in industries. 👉   Topic 2. Urban water circularity. 👉   Topic 3. Resource recovery and valorization. 👉   Topic 4. Economic, environmental and social implications of water reuse and recovered products. The call announcement is available online.
