On the last day of #ConstructionSafetyWeek, we're showcasing our Caliber Collision project: a new 12,100 square foot facility in Mentor, Ohio. Tony La Torre, Nick Hoptry, and shawn moss are responsible for this ground-up construction project. Equity Construction Solutions safety practices for this project in its initial phases include executing our standard procedure of capping rebar. Rebar, short for reinforcing bar, is a steel bar or mesh used to reinforce concrete structures. The exposed ends of rebar can be sharp, posing a risk of impalement or cuts to workers. Placing caps on the ends of the rebar safely prevents potential injuries. Effective safety culture is achieved when each team member makes the right choices, not only because it's the correct course of action, but also out of accountability for their own safety and that of their colleagues. #ConstructionSafetyWeek #OhioContractor (not actual rendering shown)

We're more than halfway through #ConstructionSafetyWeek and today, we're highlighting our redevelopment project for the Golden Bear Shopping Center. This project, located in Upper Arlington, Ohio, consists of a five-story mixed-use building with over 70 residential units, retail/restaurant spaces, and a mix of structured and surface parking spaces. Our Equity Construction Solutions team working on this project includes Tony La Torre, Jordan Mickley, Shawn DeLong, shawn moss, Anthony DeAngelis and Surejya Prakash Gowda. While the project is still in its initial phase, our team will implement safety measures to address traditional construction hazards, such as temporary fencing, safety training, and appropriate job site attire. We will also incorporate best practices, including excellent communication, to ensure a safer and more productive work environment for everyone. #OhioContractor #JobSiteSafety

For #ConstructionSafetyWeek, today we are highlighting our Ohio Eastern Star Independent Living Expansion project. This extensive project comprises 96 units, housed within 20 various buildings and cottages, to be constructed over three phases. Each building offers a mix of one and two-bedroom units, providing a variety of living options. The Ohio Eastern Star Expansion isn't just a living space; it's a community. On-site amenities include a dining area, community gardens, a bistro, and more. Currently, our dedicated ECS team, consisting of Jordan Mickley, Rayne Dicus, and Surejya Prakash Gowda, are hard at work on phase II. This phase includes the construction of 32 units within 8 buildings. Safety is always paramount on our job sites. The OES team has diligently collaborated with the subcontract base to emphasize fall protection during framing and roofing operations. In a continuous effort to ensure safety, we've taken measures to separate construction activities from the active senior living campus. On the second day of Construction Safety Week, we are highlighting our HighBank team – Tony La Torre, Jason Mastroianni, and Nick Hoptry – who are managing the adaptive reuse project in Westerville, OH. Tasked with the transformation of a former post office into the next HighBank location, they bear in mind that the safety and success of this construction project rests on the decisions and actions of every team member. Everyone on the job, regardless of their role, holds a deep responsibility to take initiative, accountability, and personal ownership in keeping their team and job site safe. It's crucial to foster an environment that encourages communication, teamwork, sharing of ideas and perspectives, and commitment to listening and embracing every voice. It's Construction Safety Week! This annual event is designed to raise awareness of the construction industry's ongoing commitment to building a culture of safety. During the week-long educational and awareness event, we will be highlighting a different ECS job site each day, along with the ECS team members responsible for maintaining its safety. Today we are showcasing our project, TruePointe. Morgan R., Shawn DeLong, William Bricker, Will Poling, Chad Willis, ason sunkle, Anthony DeAngelis and Tim Plageman are the ECS team members engaged in this $250M mixed-use development in Hilliard, OH. Their commitment and hard work, which is evident in every brick and beam, is deeply appreciated. As a small token of our gratitude, we were delighted to provide lunch for over 100 members of the TruePointe construction and subcontractor teams today. In alignment with Safety Week, we will examine measures implemented to ensure a safe and efficient jobsite. One such measure is planning. Our construction teams undertake "pre-task plans" daily. This involves reviewing the day's activities with the trades, ensuring they are familiar with the team members involved and aware of their surroundings. This is crucial to make sure everyone feels comfortable. This process also provides an opportunity to ask questions and identify potential hazards. Members of our Equity ECS team devoted their time and efforts to participate in several volunteer activities in April. These engagements were aimed at giving back to the community and making a positive impact. One of the beneficiaries was the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, an organization in Columbus that plays a crucial role in providing nutritious food to those in need. We also had the opportunity to work with Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, a non-profit dedicated to improving the Cincinnati community's physical and visual aspects. Finally, our team volunteered with LifeCare Alliance. This is another Columbus based organization that provides vital services to individuals who are elderly, medically challenged, or disabled.
