About us
The EOD Warrior Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that honors fallen EOD warriors and provides assistance to wounded EOD warriors and the families of wounded and fallen EOD personnel. The Foundation’s creation is the result of the joining together of two well-established and respected organizations supporting the EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) community, the EOD Memorial Foundation and the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation, which merged on March 1, 2013. In partnership with Wake for Warriors, we are excited to offer a retreat opportunity for EOD Families, September 19-22, 2024, Lake Harding, Georgia. The weekend will be filled with a variety of water sports, instruction from professional wake boarders, lots of sunshine, hospitality, and more! The entire experience is at no cost to you; travel, lodging, meals, and activities are included. For those with physical limitations, adaptive gear will be provided. EODWF along with Dave Deep, founder of Wake for Warriors, and his team of professionals and community volunteers from Lake Harding will be on site. We are looking for 8 EOD Veterans who are at least 30% disabled through the VA to join us for an Iowa Whitetail Archery Deer Hunt. Details: Location: Rathbun Lake, Iowa and surrounding areas Dates: Arrive November 16th and depart November 23rd What's Included: Travel, lodging, license and tag, meals Requirements: Eligibility: EOD Veterans who are non-Iowa residents and at least 30% disabled through the VA. Crossbows are allowed with a letter from your doctor. Application Deadline: July 23rd Paperwork Deadline (if accepted): August 1st Important Notes: This hunt can be physically and emotionally challenging, but I promise to support you along the journey!
