  • It’s literally 112 degrees in Sacramento today… Legislators have the opportunity to fund programs that would help Californians fight the heat. This shouldn’t be up for debate. Make sure your Assemblymember is standing up for climate resilience today. #climatebondnow

  • California leaders are voting on a climate bond that would be THE most intersectional & multi-sector approaches to tackling the climate crisis because it prioritizes environmental justice priorities that touch on local energy, housing, urban infrastructure, public health, etc. Implementing the funding for these critical programs NOW is a down-payment for California's future. Visit the link in our bio and call on your legislator to support #SB867 #ClimateBondNow

  • 🌈✨ A quick little Pride month recap! In celebration of Pride month, we co-hosted our inaugural Pride Outside: Queens in the Desert event last Friday, June 21. Intertwining Pride celebrations with our passion for public lands, EnviroVoters spent an evening traveling across the desert with our amazing partners at the Chuckwalla National Monument coalition! We hosted a sold-out bus tour featuring dazzling drag performances, insightful speeches by local leaders, and the incredible energy of 56 community members. It was fabulous. We journeyed through the proposed Chuckwalla National Monument, making stops at iconic locations like Camp Young, Mecca Hills Grotto, and Painted Canyon Trailhead. The highlight? Kit Tapata's show-stopping performance dressed as a Chuckwalla lizard! 🦎💃 Thanks so much to our friends at Latino Outdoors, Friends of the Desert Mountains, CalWild, California Native Plant Society, and The Wilderness Society for their partnership in making this event unforgettable. Special shout out to EnviroVoters staff Felix Wang, ReJeana Goldsborough, and Aaron McCall Craddolph for their work on this amazing co-hosted event 💚 Here’s to more adventures where pride and nature meet! 🌟 Thrilled to share that I’ve completed the California Environmental Voters EdFund Ambassador Program! 🌿🌍 As a proud member of the WE CAN: Water Equity and Clean Air Now! campaign, I’ve been working on addressing severe inequities in water and air quality in the Central Valley and Inland Empire. Our mission is to empower youth to lead the charge on these crucial issues. The Central Valley and Inland Empire suffer from some of the worst air quality in the nation, primarily due to warehouse emissions that displace our communities of color. The long-term health risks are significant, and immediate action is necessary. We hosted multiple town halls in the Central Valley and Inland Empire, providing a platform for local voices to be heard and for us to collaboratively find solutions. These town halls were instrumental in driving our campaign forward. 🚀 Are you passionate about environmental justice and looking for a paid role in the Central Valley or Inland Empire? 🌱 Apply for Cohort 4 of the EnviroVoters Ambassador Program! Head to their website for more details and make a real impact. 🌟 #EnviroVoters #ClimateAction #YouthLeadership #EnvironmentalJustice #CleanAir #WaterEquity #WECan
