What an exciting few days it has been! This week, the Project ReCharge team, alongside our incredible Master Teachers, hosted our first-ever Summer Professional Learning Event using our innovative new HUBS! After listening to feedback on virtual training fatigue, we developed a way to deliver in-person professional development feasibly for our small team. Our hubs enable us to provide immersive in-person training while connecting participants through video with other locations and experts. Plus, in this format, current Project ReCharge participants get to connect with former Project ReCharge teachers to learn from their experiences, build connections, and build professional learning communities. Our first-ever hub sessions were held at Eagle Valley Middle School in Carson City and Del Sol Academy in Las Vegas. N. Eric Heiselt, our Professional Development Specialist and Instructional Designer, delivered the background information remotely and then handed it over to local master teacher experts to lead their groups through hands-on activities. A special thanks to our hub directors, Kim Tucker and Debbie Nelson, and our supportive Master Teachers and Project ReChargers: Dustin Coli, Christen Vice, and Gina Nakahara, Ed. S., for making this possible! Next week, we're thrilled to launch our third Project ReCharge hub in Maine with the College of the Atlantic and David Gibson!
