A lot of our clients sell niche products or services. Whether it's a sensor for a specific type of machine, security for a specific type of software or audio for a specific type of ATV, in niche markets, your approach to SEO needs to be different than those who are selling to the mass market. If you don't think differently, you're wasting resources and driving the wrong type of traffic through your efforts. In this guide, we break down how we approach SEO for niche markets to hopefully give you some actionable takeaways for you to consider. https://lnkd.in/gFHK2ebn

Let's talk about our POV on the WordPress/WP Engine drama. 🫠 Since the announcement a couple days ago regarding their dispute, we've spent a bit of time researching and determining how the restrictions that are being placed on WP Engine impacts our clients, if at all. Based on the current situation between WP Engine and Matt Mullenweg, we have determined that our course of action with our clients’ WordPress environments has stayed the same. Our client’s sites have not been negatively impacted on the front-end experience. On the backend, we always perform a multistep process when updating plugins in WordPress that involves: ➡️ Backing up the production environment ➡️ Pushing the production environment to the staging environment ➡️ Downloading staging into our local environment ➡️ Updating plugins in our local environment and testing for compatibility ➡️ Uploading our local environment to staging, where we do another round of testing compatibility on the server ➡️ Pushing staging to production, where we perform our last round of testing for compatibility ➡️ We also incorporate Wordfence, which sends daily updates on our client sites, listing plugins that have updates available. So, ultimately, everything has stayed the same in our agency process for handling plugin updates within our WordPress environments on WP Engine despite the feud. We hope that WP Engine and Automattic can resolve their differences sooner rather than later for the health of the WordPress community we love. We love WordPress and WP Engine and will continue to use both products as long as they continue to provide great benefits to our clients. #wordpress #wpengine

Our digital demand gen programs focus on the full-funnel experience... but there's definitely times where demand capture (lead gen) is the hyper focus. When that's the case - you have to make sure all dials are turned and tightened and you're maximizing your high-intent opportunities. In this video and blog, we discuss 4 ways to do this.

This is a pretty hot discussion right now, particularly as we speak with new clients - they're coming in with some intense internal pressures. While I will continue to have a very strong opinion on what constitutes a lead, there are some things that you can do to make sure you're in the very best position to capture the most high-intent opportunities as possible. At Enilon we consistently see significant SEO improvements within 90 of working on a new client website. Sometimes though, we're able to see significant improvements within the first month of implementation. It's about understanding what drives rankings, having a deep understanding of website technical health and overall SEO best practices. 💥

This is a conversation we have frequently with our clients. When should you gate content? Should you pay to promote it? What budget is appropriate to put behind content promotion?

When should you gate content and why? Content allows your prospects and current clients to understand your unique POV. It also helps prospects get to you 'know you' prior to reaching out. Ideally, you want to allow access to your thought leadership for free. If you decide to gate content, it should only be reserved for the super-high value, in depth pieces. And then you should have a strong nurturing plan in place that continues to provide value to that contact. It's important to note that person should not be considered a lead and should not be sent to an SDR - but viewed as someone to nurture and allow them to reach out when and if they're in market for your product/service. With this in mind, it's also important to consider how you promote this content and the budget that is allocated to support it. The amount of people that convert to a customer from a downloaded content piece within a reasonable timeframe for CAC payback is small. So you must consider a budget allocation that aligns with this understanding. All in all, content is very important as long as the mindset of its objective and place in the overall funnel is aligned with the way and purpose people consume it. #contentstrategy #demandgeneration

One of the best combinations is a strong SEO team and strong development team. Being able to recommend changes is one thing, but being able to implement them quickly, makes all the difference. You don't need to wait a long time to see SEO impacts when you have the right team in place.

Many times a baseline for SEO results of a website requires a reset and overcoming challenges within a CMS. It's incredible the amount of improvement you can see in a short amount of time. One of our clients is a service provider that has a unique technology setup. We solved some foundational problems by assigning custom HTML text settings in the code base for tags that were missing or duplicates. Then we reset their meta info to align with a specific keyword focus. We also adjusted their location pages to embed correct Google maps and have a better structure across all pages. After 3 months we saw 203% improvement in our average combined keyword rank in organic search going from #82 to #27. Also, our orgaic impressions saw a 159% improvement going from 4,700 to 12,180. This is a much strong SEO baseline to work from. And this is just the beginning. Winning! #digitalmarketingstrategy #digitalmarketingagency

The secret to marketing-sourced opportunities is two fold... First - you have to have a solid strategy for both creating & capturing demand, deploy quickly, test and iterate often. Second - you have to have a way to measure and attribute successes (and failures) so that you can understand impacts, make smart decisions and grow. We help our clients do both - from defining the strategy, setup and implementation to working on the backend to understand how leads are flowing through, turning into opps and what dials need to be adjusted to keep things growing. If you are struggling in any of these areas, sometimes all it takes is a quick discussion to shine a light on improvement areas and get things on track quickly. Let us know if we can help!
