After spending seven years as a CPA, Changemaker Kristin Leiber made the switch from corporate finance to grassroots community building. She is now Executive Director of Lloyd EcoDistrict, Oregon’s first certified EcoDistrict located in the inner east side of Portland. Kristin and her team work with community members to make the Lloyd EcoDistrict more resilient. They do so by implementing healthy building strategies that support decarbonization, community events to encourage connections and resources like community gardens, pollinator corridors, graffiti abatement and a lending library.
