EMVCo is the global technical body that facilitates the worldwide interoperability and acceptance of secure payment transactions by managing and evolving the EMV® Specifications and related testing processes. EMV® is a technology toolbox that enables globally interoperable secure payments across face-to-face and remote environments. Adoption of EMV® Specifications and associated approval and certification processes promotes a unified international payments framework, which supports an advancing range of payment methods, technologies and acceptance environments. The specifications are designed to be flexible and can be adapted regionally to meet national payment requirements and accommodate local regulations. EMVCo is collectively owned by American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, UnionPay and Visa, and focuses on the technical advancement of the EMV® Specifications. EMVCo has published the EMV® Click to Pay Customer Experience (CX) Guidelines. This interactive tool is for merchants, payment service providers, product owners, developers and CX designers who want to make #onlinecheckout easier with EMV Click to Pay solutions. It provides user experience guidelines and recommendations to build EMV Click to Pay solutions that are more consistent, convenient, secure and can help lower consumer friction and thereby, cart abandonments. 📄 The guide shows sample screens and key use case flows that are easy to follow, and links to the software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interface (APIs) specifications required to create EMV Click to Pay solutions. This integrated approach helps #ClicktoPay solution providers to understand how the CX should be implemented at the technical level to deliver an optimised experience.
