An iconic piece of Wichita history, the Keeper of the Plains, is now part of our ever-growing art gallery. It’s the 66th hand-painted replica created as part of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce on Parade project. It’s also the 2nd Keeper to come from the creative mind of local artist and Wichita native, Elisabeth Owens. Owens said she was inspired by the diversity of our city, both now and historically speaking. We were proud to host the artist, the Wichita Chamber, and several special guests to its unveiling yesterday afternoon. 

Whitney Woyke, our EVP of Retail and Embedded Banking, recently joined three other remarkable women on “Fintech Unleashed” to discuss their journeys of breaking the glass ceiling in the finance industry. Branch Manager, Ariel Rivera, recently presented on Financial Readiness to local summer interns at the Summer Fellows Program. This program offers a unique blend of professional development and internships provided by Wichita area companies. Over six weeks, interns gain essential workforce skills and build connections within the Wichita community. Supporting such a valuable initiative helps prepare the next generation for success!

We were proud to sponsor the Wichita Pride Parade 🌈 on Saturday, where our dedicated team handed out over 300 popsicles! It was a great chance to add a little cool to the color. Thanks to everyone who showed up united to celebrate our diverse community of the greater Wichita Area.

We are dedicated to making a difference, both in and out of the office. Today, we're excited to highlight Christian Lehr, our Director of Treasury Management, who also serves as President of the board for Starkey, Inc. an amazing non-profit empowering people with disabilities in our community. Christian recently had the honor of presenting heartfelt artwork to two Starkey board members. Created by talented individuals at Starkey, these pieces not only decorate walls but also tell stories of creativity, resilience, and the power of community. Christian's dedication to both Emprise and Starkey exemplifies our commitment to fostering positive change.

Our team at Emprise Bank made a meaningful impact during the first-ever Day of Action event organized by United Way of the Plains. We joined forces with Wichita Habitat for Humanity to build houses and teamed up with Wichita Clean Streams to clean up the Arkansas River! Proud of our team's dedication to making a difference!

Last week, we had the privilege of volunteering with Passageways Ltd. to support veterans who are currently homeless in our community. Proud to be part of an effort that provides crucial housing and support to those who have served our country.

We were honored to celebrate the tradition of Juneteenth in our community by walking in the JuneteenthICT Parade and sponsoring the annual Father’s Day Recognition.
