Elmet Technologies Partners with Branch Area Careers Center On April 25th, our team participated in the Annual Career Readiness Job Fair. The job fair connects local high school students with employers in the area, and teaches them about various employment opportunities and introduces them to the hiring process. Elmet Technologies has participated in this job fair for several years. As a result, we have hired several summer employees, college interns, and high school graduates that were looking to start a career in manufacturing. In most recent years, we hired a student from the electrical career program, who is currently working with our maintenance team. We also hired a machine operator, who is currently working in our metals department, operating the grinder and various saws. At the job fair, we coordinated with the school to bring students to the facility for a full plant tour. Each student learned about the various departments and positions within the plant. On May 8th, two groups of students came in for a full plant tour. During the tour, students received a look into the manufacturing process, from turning powdered metal into a pressed, sintered, and finished product. A special thank you to all team members who had a hand in two successful days, at both the Career Readiness Fair and during the plant tours. #manufacturing • #careers • #community

A special thank you to Elmet Technologies for graciously donating $500.00 to the VFW Poppy Program. Today, VFW Buddy Poppies are assembled by veterans in VA Hospitals across the country. The majority of the proceeds derived from each sale conducted by the VFW Posts and their Auxiliaries is retained locally to provide for veteran services and welfare. The minimal assessment (cost of Buddy Poppies) to VFW Posts provides financial assistance in maintaining state and national veterans’ rehabilitation and service programs and partially supports the VFW National Home for orphans and widows of our nation’s veterans. Pictured below is our employee Kelly Cline, SPHR, SHRM-SCP and her husband Scott who served over Mother’s Day weekend to distribute poppies for donations. As the VFW Auxiliary Secretary, Kelly Cline, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has been supporting this program for several years. #veteransupport • #vfw • #thankyou

Last November, a team of Design Engineering Technology seniors from Trine University in nearby Angola, IN approached Elmet Technologies in Coldwater, MI for assistance in metal 3D printing gears for a classic motocross bike, the 1973 Honda CR250M. The original gearbox had a design flaw which the team was working to correct with 3D printed parts. After teaching the team the fundamentals of metal 3D printing, the students designed the gears for optimized 3D printing and saw their design come to life using Elmet’s metal AM printer. #3dprinting • #additivemanufacturing
