Every milestone means something when you’re working toward a goal that seems insurmountable. Team USA athletes know what that’s like. We feel the same when it comes to health equity. Everyone deserves a chance at living their healthiest, which is why we’re not passing up any opportunity to support health equity efforts while celebrating Team USA’s achievements. Every Team USA medal, world, Olympic or Paralympic record in Paris means a donation from Lilly to charitable organizations working to improve health equity in the U.S. Learn more about the Lilly Milestones into Meaning™ program here: https://e.lilly/4bW6WX3 #WeAreLilly

Nothing is guaranteed. In fact, we’re all up against some pretty tough odds to get where we are—to exist, to survive, to thrive. And when it comes to our health, we definitely can’t control the hand we’re dealt. But we only get one life. We only get one body. And every body deserves a shot at good health, so we need to fight for it. See how our Team USA partner athletes are fighting the odds to reach their goals: https://e.lilly/3YdLw4f #WeAreLilly This is a paid partnership between Lilly and Suni Lee.

The pandemic taught us to work differently. Now, on the other side, we're realizing some changes were for the better. One of the best examples of this? Our approach to clinical trials during the pandemic. From mobile recruiting efforts to telemedicine visits to direct shipping of investigational products, COVID-19 showed the incredible benefits these innovations can unlock. Now, we’re pushing to modernize clinical trials so we can effectively reach people where they live, making them easier, more equitable and encouraging more diverse participation. People living with communicable diseases like HIV and TB are more likely to develop chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension or cardiovascular disease. In low- to middle-income countries, health workers have made progress in early detection and access to medicines. But there’s more work to be done. That’s why we’re financially supporting REACH’s efforts to integrate TB and chronic disease care in Chennai, India, and joining forces with the NCD Alliance to call for wider implementation of integrated care models around the world. These models provide comprehensive, holistic and patient-centered care that improves public health and quality of life. #WeAreLilly

How can we make sure medicines work safely in diverse patient populations around the world? By designing clinical trials to include diverse representation from the outset. To do so, we need clinical trial regulations to keep pace with the innovations that are allowing more community-based trial options. As our own Jeffrey Francer and Rob Metcalf explain in a recent STAT op-ed, the FDA, drug developers and investigators need to collaborate to make clinical trials more accessible for everyone. #WeAreLilly
