Here are 3 golden nuggets shared by People executives from across the high-growth space at the Elevayte People Exec Roundtable this morning. There were some amazing insights shared by all, and a robust and insightful conversation over coffee, pastries, and granola followed. This is just a snippet, but look out for more in the future. 👀 Leadership can and needs to be a holistic journey. If you embed it across the whole journey from recruitment to performance reviews it becomes a conscious part of the business. Then, when you start talking about leadership and the need to develop leaders, it’s not a surprise. 🫂You’re not alone. Being a Chief People Officer or People Leader can feel like an incredibly isolating experience. But almost everyone is going through similar challenges. Lean into the community and connect with like-minded people as everyone has a piece of the puzzle and are happy to share. 🚫 There’s never a good time to develop leaders. There will always be other business priorities, a lack of money, too little time, you name it. Starting small, and making leadership development practical, immediately applicable, and relatable will encourage leaders to see the value right away. Thank you to Jana Klimecki from Mayfair Equity Partners LLP and Charlotte Forsyth from LoopMe for speaking at this week’s virtual panel discussion. The topic we got into was all-around getting the exec aligned & engaged before launching leadership development programmes. This is hard to do, and even harder to do well. Charlotte & Jana took us through a real masterclass.  The key three areas we explored were: 👀 More cohesive leadership teams with a deep bench of senior leaders obtain higher multiples when it comes to investment. This week we were lucky enough to be a part of the Balderton Capital People Leaders Summit. Some highlights: 🌊 Panel discussion with Wayve’s CEO Alex Kendall and VP People Emma Baillie Balderton’s Suranga Chandratillake Key takeaway from Alex: always think about why you’re striving for a People initiative so that it drives business performance: ‘how do you turn trust into thrust?’ 🏆 Coaching for success panel featuring our very own Phil Bolton MCC where a key theme was the value a coach can bring by simply helping a founder / exec team slow down to speed up. Sometimes the coach is the only person who can say some pretty tough things to the top team 🤖 AI session led by Tarun Gidoomal - finally a truly practical AI session for People leaders including great prompt tips and a wealth of hacks and tricks (too many to list here) A huge well done and thank you to Leah Sutton and Shannon Harrington for making the day such a success and to all the People leaders who joined us.
