The El Camino Healthcare District and El Camino Health have allocated $11.15 million in grants and sponsorships to support local health programs and initiatives in fiscal year 2025. The boards of directors for both El Camino Health and the El Camino Healthcare District approved funding for a total of 104 grant proposals in FY25, including 12 new programs for those organizations dedicated to addressing the health needs of local community members. The Chinese Health Initiative will be holding an Emotional Well-being Webinar - How To Manage Your Emotions During Pregnancy - on Saturday, July 27 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. The free webinar will be conducted in Mandarin and will cover a number of topics: • Understand physiological changes and the psychological aspects of parenthood for a health body and mindset • Building awareness of your stress management abilities and coping mechanisms • Differentiating between mood regulations and dysregulation Speaker: Jill Chen-Kuendig, LMFT Jill is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist with 25 years of experience. We're teaming up with Mother's Milk Bank of San Jose to host a Donor Human Milk Drive on August 1 from 11am-1pm. You can donate your extra breast milk to our Outpatient Lactation Center at 2490 Hospital Drive #107 in Mountain View. Bring your frozen milk to donate to babies in need. Breastmilk will be accepted if it is less than 6 months from the day of expression.

Feel like working out in the fresh air? Check out the new Cuesta Park Fitness Zone. The outdoor workout center is located just behind the YMCA and Park Pavilion. It was a collaboration between the City of Mountain View and El Camino Health. The hospital's Community Benefit Program made a $150,000 donation to support the project given physical fitness aligns closely with chronic disease prevention and management. The city is planning a formal dedication ceremony likely in September.
