The Northern Indiana Commuter Transport District’s Double Track NWI project recently achieved a significant milestone with the opening of the South Shore Line. Egis was a key player in this project, one of the largest public transit investments in Indiana's history, providing real estate, demolition, and construction services. Our team's dedication and expertise have contributed to the successful completion of this monumental endeavor, enhancing passenger rail service between NWI and Chicago. Congratulations to NICTD, FTA, RDA, INDOT, Gary, Michigan City, and all other stakeholders involved in bringing this project to fruition! There is immense potential for high-speed rail to dramatically transform the country’s transportation system. Egis has engineered 1,300 miles of high-speed lines operating worldwide and is currently developing the California high speed rail. At the recent US High Speed Rail Association annual conference, we shared some technical insights with key stakeholders and discussed the bright future of high-speed rail in the U.S. to better connect communities. For examples of where we have shaped landmark HSR systems globally, go to: https://lnkd.in/ePWgW4QK. #HighSpeedRail #Infrastructure #ImpactTheFuture #Egis

🎉 Happy Juneteenth! Today we commemorate the end of slavery in the U.S. and reflect on the long journey toward equality and justice for all. At Egis, we recognize the importance of this historic day and stand in solidarity with our African American colleagues, friends, and community members. It is a time to celebrate progress but also acknowledge the work that still needs to be done to combat systemic racism and promote inclusivity. Let's use this day to educate ourselves, uplift each other, and work together toward a future where everyone is truly free and equal. #Equality #DiversityandInclusion #Juneteenth #FreedomDay

🌿 Today, on the international Day for Biological Diversity, we celebrate the importance of protecting and preserving our planet's diverse ecosystems. The theme for this year, "from agreement to action: build back biodiversity," highlights the need for concrete steps towards conservation. 🌎 At Egis, we have been proactive in our efforts to support biodiversity. Our team in the Indianapolis office recently participated in clean-up events along the White River and a local waterway near our U.S. Headquarters. These initiatives not only demonstrate our commitment to environmental stewardship but also serve as a reminder of the impact each of us can make. #BiodiversityDay #Conservation #EgisCares #Sustainability #EnvironmentalStewardship #ImpactTheFuture #SustainableFuture
