The Northern Indiana Commuter Transport District’s Double Track NWI project recently achieved a significant milestone with the opening of the South Shore Line. Egis was a key player in this project, one of the largest public transit investments in Indiana's history, providing real estate, demolition, and construction services. Our team's dedication and expertise have contributed to the successful completion of this monumental endeavor, enhancing passenger rail service between NWI and Chicago. Congratulations to NICTD, FTA, RDA, INDOT, Gary, Michigan City, and all other stakeholders involved in bringing this project to fruition! There is immense potential for high-speed rail to dramatically transform the country’s transportation system. Egis is pleased to partner with the State of Ohio Department of Development on its IRA Energy Rebate Programs. This $250m initiative will provide energy efficiency measures and utility bill savings to thousands of households throughout the State of Ohio.
