Excited to share my experience moderating two impactful panels at the 2024 Environmental Financial Consulting Group (EFCG) Technology Leadership Conference last month in Chicago. It was an inspiring event focused on the intersection of technology and client engagement in the AEC industry. In our session on "Delivering a Better Client Experience: Client Portals", we explored how client portals transform customer interactions by enhancing transparency and streamlining communication. Insights from technology leaders David White, PE, Melissa Wastell, and Aurelio Gonzalez highlighted the significant benefits these platforms offer in terms of efficiency and client satisfaction. In "Foundational and Applied Technology: Structuring Firms to Move Fast and Be Flexible", we discussed the importance of integrating foundational and applied technologies to maintain agility in a rapidly evolving market. Panelists J Nick OTTO, David Mulholland, PE, and Ronald Sattan shared valuable strategies for embedding technology deeply into business processes to ensure swift adaptability to new challenges. This conference was a fantastic opportunity to gather with industry experts to exchange knowledge on AI, digital transformation, and more, providing actionable insights that drive our industry forward. Thanks to the EFCG team and all the amazing speakers for making this event a landmark gathering! I’m excited for the future as we continue to innovate and enhance our industry practices.
