Women are definitely shaping the future of wealth management! We are excited to share that Denitsa Balunis, our senior vice President of Corporate Strategy at EFE, will be joining this amazing roster of women as a speaker at Future Proof on September 17th. The “What Am I Worth?” panel will discuss how strategic capital partners and acquirers value firms and advisors’ books of business. She will share insights on what makes a firm attractive to investors and acquirers. Great information for any RIAs developing a succession plan!
Swipe through for a closer look at some of the women who will be speaking at Future Proof Festival! One critical area that often gets overlooked is the role of women in wealth management. Women are set to play an increasingly dominant role within the industry as next-generation leaders, product builders, and managers. They are becoming the breadwinners of their families and key financial decision-makers in their households. Women will become a central focus for new and prospective wealth management clients. Key Industry Trends Shaping Women’s Role in Wealth Management: 1. The Rise of Women as Financial Decision-Makers 2. The Great Wealth Transfer…to Women 3. Changing Demographics and Education 4. Differences in Investment Behavior If you want to future-proof your business, this is an area of growth worth planning for. “We’re proud to invest in the next generation and share our vibrant and welcoming culture with friends and family of our colleagues.” Suzanne van Staveren, EVP, CFO, COO, Edelman Financial Engines This week, Edelman Financial Engines hosted our first Financial Services High School Summit! Friends and family of our colleagues joined us for a flurry of new conversations, relationships, and eye-opening moments including: · Understanding how awareness can change perception with Insights, · Learning how to make smart money decisions with Dollar Sense, our youth financial literacy program, · Exploring various internship experiences, · Learning just how varied a person’s career path can be! It was fun to see our colleagues light up when they heard their loved ones share key takeaways from the day. And what a treat it was topping the day off with a fun and delicious Pasta Making Workshop hosted by Seven Hills Pasta Co. at the Boston Public Market Association. So many colleagues helped to make this first high school summit a robust experience for the students! This is just one example of how our colleagues support one another to pay forward the knowledge and experience we’ve learned over the years. And we had fun doing so! Check out some of the pictures for a glimpse into our Financial Services High School Summit! #FromHereForward

Today, my colleagues and I were incredibly proud to see Stephen Peacock, Sexual Assault Survivor and Advocate for Equity & Dignity, and VP of Provider & Product Strategy at Edelman Financial Engines share his story at the Disability:IN's Semi-Annual #InclusionWorks Program Meeting. Steve's vulnerability is impact in action. Steve is an inspirational leader, sharing his story as a sexual assault survivor with audiences at our workplace, high schools, conferences, and on NPR. One story at a time, Steve is helping those who have been sexually assaulted not feel alone or shamed and preventing sexual assault through education and building awareness. This is just one session, among so many ground breaking stories that catalyze action and hope. I encourage you to learn more about Disability:IN’s #InclusionWorks program and its 10 years of impact at https://lnkd.in/enw-AhDK #FromHereForward #DisabilityInclusion
