ANSO member, Alexandra Hernández, made a significant impact as a guest speaker at the East Aurora High School NJROTC Awards Ceremony in Chicago. In her own words, "Being invited to speak at the East Aurora High School NJROTC Awards Ceremony was truly a full circle moment for me. I was born and raised in Chicago, not too far from Aurora, and being a MCROTC student myself, I knew it was going to be a special moment for us all. Looking out into a sea of over 300 cadets, most of whom come from minority backgrounds, was absolutely amazing. They reminded me of myself, and the message I was coming to deliver was one I wish someone would have told me at that age." Alexandra's words were not just motivational but also deeply personal. Her story resonated with the cadets, many of whom share similar backgrounds and challenges. She emphasized the importance of self-worth and perseverance, highlighting how their commitment to JROTC sets them apart and prepares them for future success. Her message was clear and powerful: these cadets are not just participants in a program; they are leaders in the making, capable of achieving their dreams through hard work and a positive mindset. Alexandra's dedication and heartfelt message exemplify the spirit of ANSO. We are proud to have members like her who go above and beyond to support and inspire the youth in our communities.
