Even when we're not making pet products, we're looking to make a difference in the lives of animals! Our operations team recently spent their day volunteering for Audubon Society CT chapter by assisting in renovations to their new frog pond – putting stone pavers around the pond to make it more accessible to visitors. Audubon's CT sanctuary primarily tends to injured birds, rehabbing them, releasing the back into the wild, and taking care of those which cannot be release back into the wild due to extensive injuries. They also have onsite trails for enjoying nature and birdwatching. Learn more about their amazing work here: https://lnkd.in/eyGqFW3x

Tomorrow is #WorldOceansDay 🌊 The ocean produces at least 50% of the planet’s oxygen, it is home to most of earth’s biodiversity, and is the main source of protein for more than a billion people around the world. Not to mention, the ocean is key to our economy with an estimated 40 million people being employed by ocean-based industries by 2030. While the ocean supports our health and livelihoods, it is in need of OUR support. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea by weight than fish—and humans already, on average, consume the equivalent of a credit card, per person per week, through micro plastic presence in our food. Through our partnership with rePurpose Global, we've managed to recover over 400,000 pounds of ocean-bound plastic in the last 2 years. That equates to more than 10 million plastic bottles! We are proud to have funded these small but impactful projects to help with our ocean's plastic crisis, and continue to make progress towards our goal of being a zero-plastic company by 2025. Follow us to keep track of our journey towards this goal. *Statistics from https://lnkd.in/e4D5aM5
