"I have seen more action in the past three years by the Biden-Harris Administration than I have in the past 30 years in advancing environmental justice," said Dr. Beverly Wright in her poignant remarks at today's first-ever White House Summit on #EnvironmentalJustice in Action. Alongside making unprecedented resources available for EJ communities through the Bipartisan Infrastructure and Inflation Reduction Act, the Administration's commitment to provide technical assistance to CBOs (many of whom may be applying for their first federal grant) is truly transformational for our overburdened communities. DSCEJ’s #CIRC is proud to be one of the Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers (TCTAC), helping to build capacity for organizations in EPA Regions 4 & 6. We are pleased to announce that Memphis Town Community Action Group (CAG) in Columbus, Mississippi recently became the first CBO in our TCTAC to submit a federal grant application!! They’ve successfully applied to EPA’s Community Change Grant (CCG) to the tune of $20M! @darren-leach-7b406039 To see Dr. Wright's comments at today's Summit, please visit https://lnkd.in/gYp_J-yP. @POTUS @VP
