One theme that sometimes gets missed with all of the AI hype is the need for quality data in most cases. Data quality also matters when it comes to navigating the new pharma landscape. Poor data quality directly impacts top and bottom lines Accurate data is crucial for pricing, rebates, and government reporting. To learn more about how pharma companies are navigating the evolving landscape - with the Inflation Reduction Act a notable challenge - some 95% of pharma execs report struggling with membership-related data management. JAMA study suggests link between semaglutide and eye disorder

In case you missed it… This episode of AI Meets Life Sci emphasizes the prognostic and point-of-care decision-making power of #AI in #oncology while addressing real-world implementation issues from regulation and liability to clinician trust and adoption, through conversations with leaders at GE HealthCare and Catalyze Healthcare. In the first segment, Ben Newton, General Manager of Oncology at GE HealthCare emphasized AI’s ability to help overwhelmed physicians by alleviating workflow bottlenecks and assisting with point-of-care decision making. Despite the promise, he underscored that such advances rely on incorporating #clinicians’ valuable perspective when developing these #AIsystems and partnerships with other industry stakeholders, such as cloud partners like AWS and academic centers or hospitals, to access data and create foundation models. In the second segment, Haley Schwartz, CEO at Catalyze Healthcare notes that potential headwinds for hospital adoption of AI are questions related to legal liability and reimbursement impacts.
