SLAS Review (2/5) DropGenie 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 🔗 : https://www.drop-genie.com Fluidics is near and dear to my heart. It was a part of my life for the better part of 7 years. Seeing the intersection of it in #labautomation is heartwarming, and is why I am probably partial to companies in this space like Volta Labs, Inc. (shout out to them on releasing their device this year as well, was bummed I didn’t get to see it.) The ability to control droplets of reagents, mixing them up, heating them, separating them, etc using electric potential to invoke contact angle hysteresis is definitely part of the future in lab automation. It’s our Quantim Computing, but way way way closer in reach, which is exemplified in this product. Most of my life now though revolves around obsessing about SBS, so I’ve felt I’ve had to just look over yonder on to this amazing tech waiting for it to get onto the deck. DropGenie solved that. It’s bringing this tech to your deck TODAY. Couple tubes, a span 8-channel liquid handler or single channel liquid handler, and this bad boy and you could be up and running doing full on combinatorial assays. Low volume too! A small additional point I dug about this device was the freedom it gave you to design all the mixing, combinations, etc via a REST API. A real one too!
