The DroneSec UAS adversary threat intelligence platform was highlighted in UNSW's recent "Countering Uncrewed Systems" foundations course by Travis Hunt. A database that documents UxS Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) from around the globe, its importance as a layer in the overall C-UxS ecosystem was considered amongst other industry heavyweights. The course Identified the types of sub-systems which can defeat uncrewed systems, along with the threats posed by land, air and maritime uncrewed systems. A system-of-systems engineering approach was presented with a gamified scenario of various airborne threats. Organizations are utilising the DroneSec Threat Database to collect intelligence for Left-of-Launch activities and analyze significant amounts of OSINT data on UxS threats, such as the scenarios highlighted in the course. #cuas #counterdrone #osint #intelligence #unsw #dronesec

Business Insider covers UAS dogfighting tactics with DroneSec analysis. Although dogfighting has been observed since 2021, extraordinary innovative techniques have been seen over the last few years. One of the biggest paradigm shifts in the war in Ukraine is the high-value target (HVT) focus placed on uncrewed aerial assets. A weaponized UAS which used to target $MM armoured tanks now makes an obvious choice to target a Baba Yaga (UA) or Orlan (RU) instead. #russia #ukraine #cuas #counterdrone #uas #uav #dogfighting

One-way attack FPVs being prepared for strikes against Junta forces in Myanmar. Over the last few months, UAS TTPs have seen considerable change in Myanmar. For years large, heavy-lift and agricultural drones have dominated use, dropping large payloads against critical infrastructure, troops and convoys. Due to the lack of funding and parts, UAS sorties have traditionally focused on survivability and the return of UAS for re-use. A shift has occurred however, with several weaponized FPV strikes being documented against buildings, vehicles and troops in recent weeks. #myanmar #cuas #threatintel #fpv #uas
