Born and raised in South Jersey, Dustin ventured to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, where he graduated in 2019 with a B.S. in Unmanned Aircraft System Science. Afterward, he returned to South Jersey and has spent the last five years in the drone industry, excelling in flight testing, payload integration, support equipment design, and fleet maintenance. Drone Amplified revolutionized wildland firefighting with the IGNIS drone based aerial ignition system and is now doing the same with avalanche mitigation. The Drone Amplified DART, a drone-based system for inducing controlled avalanches, was successfully tested with partners in Alaska this winter and will dramatically increase the ease of use and safety in reducing avalanche risk. What a year it’s been at Drone Amplified – we opened a new NJ office, introduced innovative landing gear, equipped Alta X with three NDAA-compliant radios, implemented a stellar Alt-Nav system (it can even take off during active gps denial!) across various platforms, integrated 253 payloads on Alta X and Astro, and kicked off an exciting super-secret 2024 project 🤫❄️.
