Today we’re announcing a refresh! New logo. New website. And brand spankin’ new packaging. Same mission as day 1. Open Water is a water brand that was started by two people who hated the bottled water industry (and its not so teeny tiny plastic problem). Since launching, we have eliminated more than 100 million plastic bottles, and the concern about plastic pollution has gone from niche to mainstream. With this shift, we knew we needed to double down on what we believe in and better communicate why we are far from being a “normal” water brand. This is the stuff we care about: 🌊Eliminating plastic bottles 🌊Sourcing world-class water as locally as possible (that means not shipping water in from faraway pseudo-exotic sources like South Pacific islands or European mountaintops) 🌊Minimizing the amount of packaging we use and making it out of recycled and recyclable material whenever we can 🌊Giving money to clean ocean nonprofits, with every purchase amplifying our impact Our new packaging and messaging help make these values crystal clear.
