The EMERGENCY SHELTER OF NORTHERN KENTUCKY INC (ESNKY) recently hosted a building-dedication celebration to honor the generous contributions of its local donors. ESNKY’s recent “Help Us Home” Capital Campaign, chaired by our President and CEO David Drees, successfully raised over $4.2 million, enabling the organization to relocate its facility, expand its capacity and operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Thanks to a meaningful contribution from the Drees Homes Foundation, the ESNKY building was dedicated to Ralph and Irma Drees. Ralph and Irma Drees played a crucial role in establishing the first shelter, and the Drees family has proudly supported this organization for the last 15 years. At the event, David shared, “Out of all the homes my family has built, this one has had the greatest impact.” LEARN MORE: The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky provides life saving, life changing low barrier shelter and services for adults in our community. The organization is committed to providing programs that are best practice, with a housing first model, in a trauma-informed, harm-reduction environment. They trust, value, and respect everyone who walks through the doors, always giving guests a voice and choice in how, when and where they access services. In the past year, ESNKY served more than 1,400 adults, and provided more than 24,000 nights of safe and secure shelter. To learn more, visit emergencyshelternky.org.

We are excited to officially debut the newly enhanced Overlook at Covington’s Devou Park, one of the Greater Cincinnati region’s most photo-worthy destinations. Mayor Joseph Meyer and City of Covington, Kentucky officials joined the Drees family in a ribbon-cutting ceremony just beyond the Drees Pavilion to celebrate the new additions. In 2004, Drees Homes, led by former CEO, President and Chairman of the Board Ralph Drees, dedicated The Drees Pavilion, a $2 million event center, to the City of Covington. Its proceeds continue to enrich Devou Park today, having invested over $7 million back into the area. It is with this same spirit that Drees employees and family members honor Ralph, who also served Kenton County as Judge Executive from 2004 to 2010, with the newly renovated Overlook. The new amenities at the Overlook are now open to the public. Park enhancements include: ✅ New seat wall, steps and picnic area featuring a variety of convenient rest spots overlooking the picturesque Cincinnati skyline ✅ A dedicated observation patio, complete with swings and engaging views ✅ Buried utility lines to create improved aesthetics of area viewpoints ✅ Improved sightlines from the vehicular roundabout and added sidewalks ✅ Permanent welcome signage for the Drees Pavilion Learn more: https://bit.ly/4dyXKci
