I am very much looking forward to this session. Renee had an interesting discussion about how texture was particularly important in various Asian cuisines, with words for different textures that don't even exist in English. But texture is important for all tongues and she is very focused on it as a corporate strategy. This should be very interesting!
Renee Flesch has something on her mind about Food Texture As A Driver Of Consumer Preference: 🔍 While taste and aroma often get the spotlight, texture plays a crucial role in shaping what we love to eat. From the creaminess of yogurt to the crunch of a chip, texture enhances satisfaction, evokes memories, and creates a multisensory experience. It’s not just about taste—it’s about how food feels, bridging sensory experiences and fostering loyalty. For food brands, understanding texture preferences means crafting products that resonate deeply with consumers. What textures do you crave? 🍽️ Join us on November 21st! 🔗 Apply to Attend: https://lnkd.in/gbA8PTQv In addition, there will be 9 "Something On My Mind" mini-sessions to explore diverse topics and drive ongoing conversations. 📅 Event Details: AgTech Salon: November 20th: https://lnkd.in/gTrXva6B FoodTech Salon: November 21st: https://lnkd.in/gbA8PTQv Location: Bonny Doon Special Offer: Register for both the AgTech Salon, the FoodTech Salon, and take advantage of a discounted rate for attending both days! These events are sponsored by The Mixing Bowl and Sidley Austin LLP.

Keith Driver from Tyson Foods has SOMM (Something on My Mind) about The Importance of Insect-Based Ingredients. As the demand for sustainable, high-protein sources rises, insect-based ingredients present a scalable, eco-friendly solution. Compared to traditional livestock, insects require significantly fewer resources—12x less feed per gram of protein than cattle—and produce minimal emissions. By integrating these ingredients, businesses can tap into a growing market, meet sustainability goals, and reduce environmental impact. 💡 Question: How do you see insect-based ingredients fitting into the future of sustainable product innovation? 📅 Event Date: November 20th, 2024 📍 Location: Santa Cruz and Bonny Doon Register today and be part of the conversation: https://lnkd.in/gTrXva6B #SustainableFood #FoodInnovation #InsectProtein #FutureOfFood #SustainableIngredients #EcoFriendly #ProteinAlternatives #FoodTech #Sustainability #GreenBusiness
