About us
DLBA Naval Architects is an internationally-recognized naval architecture, marine engineering, and design services firm offering services for the research, alteration, and development and construction of state-of-the-art marine craft. The firm specializes in the concept, detail and production design, and testing and evaluation of new or modified vessels, in addition to the construction management and on-site technical oversight of manned and unmanned commercial, military and paramilitary vessels and custom and other production boats. DLBA also directs complete research programs to develop and/or extend technologies that advance maritime applications, including development of model testing for both aerodynamic and hydrodynamic testing. Donald L. Blount and Associates, Inc. holds a prime Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) under the US Navy's SEAPORT Enhanced (Seaport-e) Multiple Award Contract (MAC). The NAVSEA Warfare Centers established Seaport-e for engineering, financial, and program support and falls under the U.S. Navy's Virtual SYSCOM, comprised of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Supply Systems Command (SPAWAR), the Office of Naval Research and other U.S. Navy activities, Military Sealift Command, Strategic Systems Programs. Additionally, the U.S. Marine Corps can place orders under the Seaport contract. DLBA has a contract, currently for Zone-3, Mid-Atlantic, contract number N00178-11-D-6527
