Last year for #HispanicHeritageMonth, I spoke about the power of supporting the next wave of creatives and how important it is to have diverse teams ideating and creating Latinx content. This year, I had the opportunity to direct and produce with an agency and brand that are aligned with this mission and prove the power of a diverse team and how essential it is for a successful multicultural-focused campaign. I'm so grateful for the entire team at Martin and UPS especially the brilliant Marjorie A. Fajardo who spearheaded this project with passion and purpose. This campaign is all about THE JEFAS- Latina entrepreneurs who have forged a path to create their businesses against all odds. The team was clear they wanted a director who encompassed these attributes and luckily for me, I do. Anyone that knows me, knows that I live to elevate and celebrate our rich cultura in everything we do. Thank you to everyone involved for your trust and partnership❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
What is the fastest growing small and medium-sized business segment in the U.S? You guessed it, "Las Jefas". With over two million Latina-owned small businesses, they’re pushing America forward. And you'll never see a biggest concentration of Jefas than the cast we assembled for this spot. On the screen, Lulu Cordero CEO of BombaCurls, Kristen Gonzalez Founder of Selva Negra, Daisy R. from El Cholo's Kid, and artwork by Mar Figueroa (IG: @bymarfigueroa). Behind the camera, Cynthia Angel from D L A FILMS. Our UPS Jefazas Kellie Streat, Alejandra Elejalde, Valentina Makrides and Betsy Wilson. Las Jefas at The Martin Agency, Maria Jose Cuyán, Hope Thomas, Marjorie A. Fajardo, Ellie Proctor, Vanessa Nevy, Aspen Blum, Kenia Najera, Britta Dougherty, Nicole Lederman, Sara Levi, Stephanie Burton, Jamie Dollins, Anna Gilliam. And with the incredible collaboration of Frederick Nduna, Hayden Cheek, Daniel Gonzalez, Jordi Martinez Ortega and Mark Caasi. ¡Sí se puede!
