US DOT Secretary Pete Buttigieg recently visited Western Montana, including the US Highway 93 corridor, which is a critical route in western Montana. DJ&A is proud to be working with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) to help find funding solutions and project delivery strategies for the Ninepipe and Post Creek Projects, just south of Ronan. To date, the Tribes have been awarded grants through the Nationally Significant Federal Lands and Tribal Projects, Wildlife Crossing and Pilot Program, and Neighborhood Access and Equity Programs. These funds will support improvements that increase safety for drivers and wildlife on Highway 93 where it runs through the Flathead Indian Reservation, while protecting ecological and cultural resources.   If you would like to learn more about DJ&A's expertise with federal funding and project delivery related to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, please contact Transportation Group Lead, Donny Pfeifer ([email protected]), or our Missoula office (406.721.4320).

🚶♂️🚴♀️ DJ&A is spearheading a study to enhance connectivity between Snowmass Center and Base Village in Snowmass Village. https://lnkd.in/gdrNN5id These two important nodes are close together, but it's a complex connection. Multiple roadway crossings, elevation changes, and buildings complicate the seamless flow for pedestrians and cyclists. Our team is exploring these innovative solutions: - Escalator - Pedestrian Bridge - Gondola - Village Shuttle Enhancements Over the next several months we'll be developing alternatives, reviewing costs, and engaging stakeholders to create inviting spaces, reduce traffic, and promote multimodal travel!

Last week DJ&A proudly participated in CANdemonium, a fantastic design/build competition benefiting the Missoula Food Bank. Teaming up with our friends at Horizon Credit Union, we put our creativity and teamwork to the test, creating a majestic castle entirely out of cans. Not only was it a fun teambuilding experience, but a great opportunity to give back to our community. Our structure alone resulted in over 3,000 cans of food being donated to the food bank! A huge thank you to everyone who helped us turn cans into castles and support families in need!
