This is an outline of the interview process for my new role at Citi: 7/1: Interviewed with hiring manager (role 1) 7/2: Declined (role 1) 7/2: Applied for a higher role in the same department (role 2) 7/3: Interviewed with two hiring managers (for role 2) 7/5: Interviewed with the director and a peer (role 2) 7/9: Signed the offer letter (role 2) 7/29: MY FIRST DAY AT CITI!!!! (role 2) **When my recruiter reached back out to me asking me to apply for role 2 I was hesitant! I was already declined for another role in the same department THE SAME WEEK!!!! She explained not every hiring manager will like you but that doesn’t mean there is not a spot for you! 🙏 ❤️ **I agreed to the interview but decided I was NOT going to change any of the notes I previously prepared. The hiring managers (for role 2) LOVED everything I had to say!! 🤯 😲 **If you are a job seeker don’t be afraid to apply to more than one role within the same company. I AM LIVING PROOF!! One hiring manager might not like you but you could be a perfect fit on another team! 😀 😍 If I can do it, anybody can do it!! Keep your heads up!! You got this!! ✨ 💪

INSIDE PHISHING EMAILS: UNDERSTANDING HOMOGRAPH ATTACKS 📍 HOMOGRAPH OR HOMOGLYPH ATTACK ℹ️ It involves the use of visually similar characters to trick users into thinking they are interacting with a legitimate entity. ℹ️ In this case, the fake email address support@rnicrosoft[.]co[.]uk uses an "r" and "n" combination (rn) to mimic the appearance of the letter "m" in the legitimate email address support@microsoft[.]co[.]uk. ℹ️ Key Points: ⚠️ Visually Similar Characters: The attack leverages characters that look very similar to one another but are different in their Unicode representations. ⚠️ Deception: The goal is to deceive the user into believing they are dealing with a trusted source, leading to potential phishing or other malicious activities. ⚠️ Awareness: It requires users to be vigilant and carefully inspect email addresses and URLs, especially when receiving unsolicited messages or requests for sensitive information. 📍 DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TYPOSQUATTING AND HOMOGRAPH ATTACKS ℹ️ Typosquatting involves registering domain names that are misspellings or variations of legitimate domain names, capitalizing on common typographical errors made by users. Example: micorsoft[.]com (letters transposed) or mircrosoft[.]com (extra character inserted). #phishing #phishingalert #phishingscams #phishingprevention #threathunting #threatdetection #threatanalysis #threatintelligenceteam #threatintelligence #cyberthreatintelligence #cyberintelligence #cybersecurity #cyberprotection #cyberdefense
