Helping women find their power through career development and economic self sufficiency. Our doors are open!

About us

The mission of Dress for Success Cincinnati is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help them thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success Cincinnati is part of a global movement for change, empowering women to obtain safer and better futures. Our concern is not where our clients have been, but rather where they are going. We are about much more than simply a new outfit. Our programs give her the confidence she will carry forever and the knowledge that she can define her life. Poverty affects women the most, and its effects can be long-lasting. Therefore, addressing women’s needs is central to improving the quality of life for not only the woman but also her family and her community through the following programs. StyleHER We want women to feel their best in the job search. Our volunteers work help choose two interview outfits and provide guidance and support for the upcoming interview. We provide women everything they need for an interview—from clothing to confidence—and can return once they find employment for the clothing they need to enter the workforce. HigherHER Our HigherHER women's career development program helps unemployed and under-employed women gain professional skills, accelerate their job search and build confidence through the HigherHER curriculum and our partnership with Cincinnati Works in our Career Center. EmpowerHER Our EmpowerHER program offers ongoing support to help women reach economic self-sufficiency and the goal of being able to give back to the community. EmpowerHER provides educational opportunities and a network that helps women in the workplace continue to develop skills and advance in their careers. We offer meetings and events including expert speakers and networking with professionals from a variety of industries and with other women who have made similar transitions into the workforce.

Last week, we celebrated 25 amazing years of empowering women at Dress for Success Cincinnati with a memorable luncheon. We were honored to have past and present board members join us in commemorating this special occasion. A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful hosts, Lali Minocha and Lisa Massa, for orchestrating such a beautiful event. The highlight of the afternoon was Aftab Pureval's inspiring presence and his declaration of June 13th as "Dress for Success Day" through a mayoral proclamation. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in our mission over the years. As we reflect on our journey, we are filled with gratitude for the unwavering support from our community and partners. Together, we've made a difference in countless lives, and we look forward to continuing our mission of empowering women for many more years to come. Here’s to 25 years of success, and to the future ahead! ✨ #dfsc25 #dfsc #25years

  • We are super excited to celebrate Jennifer Wasco, a Dress for Success Cincinnati client, for being selected as an honoree for Dress for Success Worldwide's Your Hour Her Power campaign! ❤️ ⌛ "Jennifer has been involved with Dress for Success since 2013, and she’s maintained employment for that entire time. Jennifer fought the long battle to overcome her conviction. In the beginning, she was disappointed not to be able to participate in the CAP program--“jail status checks” intended to screen imprisoned individuals for removability--because she was not able to cross state lines for a certain number of years after her release. Since that time, she has successfully worked to have her record expunged. She has since changed her last name back to her maiden name so that she does not have to be identified by the name of her abuser. Jen is committed to personal growth. Not only does she continue attending EmpowerHER regularly; she seizes all opportunities. Jen is a true example of someone who is not going to be defined by her past." You are an inspiration to all of us, Jennifer! ❤️ #dfsc #dfsc25 #cincinnati #YHHP2024 @dressforsuccess
