DEVISE4KE is an international initiative dedicated to digitally revolutionizing schools in rural Homa Bay, Kenya, through sustainable energy solutions, work-based learning, and the integration of innovative technologies. DEVISE4KE is a collaboration that seeks to address the ongoing challenges faced by Vocational Education and Training (VET) schools in Kenya. The school digitalization plan has made strides, but power outages and a lack of ICT equipment and skills have hindered progress, especially in rural regions like Homa Bay. Our Objectives: ✅ Equip VET schools with photovoltaics for a reliable green energy supply. ✅ Introduce work-based learning, integrating real work processes into digital learning curricula. ✅ Strengthen the link between the school-based VET-system and industry. ✅ Build independent learning environments for digital teaching, even without internet connections. ✅ Run innovative Learning Teaching Training Activities (LTTA) for teachers and local stakeholders.
