Insight: "Balancing the Scales. Mitigating Nurses’ Overload in CGTs for Sustainable Care" With multiple CGT clinical trials currently being conducted and an estimated 50 CGTs forecasted to be clinically available by 2030. The growing prominence of CAR T therapies in oncology and the associated complexities are likely to exacerbate nurse burnout. Supporting oncology nurses is vital to ensuring people with cancer are appropriately cared for and guided through their individual journeys in a time of utmost need and vulnerability (Komatsu & Yagasaki, 2014). Call to Action: CGT manufacturers can help patients get access to these potentially life-saving treatments by involving nursing staff early and frequently during the design of product delivery platforms, including patient coordination, cell order logistics, patient education, monitoring, escalation, and the overall treatment journey experience. Nurses are knowledgeable about clinical and operational concerns that need improvement and, consequently, are in the best position to generate and evaluate practical options and potential solutions to improve efficacy and care processes. A few thought starters include: how might we; - Ease the intense workload on nurses caring for patients undergoing CGT. - Create educational opportunities to learn how to manage & navigate CGT. - Support nurses in the workplace by reducing stressors created by CGTs. #nurses #healthcare #oncologynurses #CART #UniversalCARtherapy #nurseburnout #CGT

  •  🎉 Happy Industrial Design Day! 🎨✨ I began my career as an industrial designer. I absolutely loved the idea of being a pluralist, creating products for various categories that were beautiful, smart, pleasurable, and experiential for everyone using them. As we celebrate Industrial Design Day, I'm filled with gratitude for the incredible journey I've had over the past 25 years as a designer. From sketching concepts on napkins to seeing products and services come to life in the hands of consumers, it's been an exhilarating ride. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of collaborating with talented teams, pushing boundaries, and transforming ideas into tangible solutions. From consumer electronics to healthcare systems, each project has been a testament to the power of design to enhance functionality, elevate experiences, and inspire emotions. But beyond the final product, what truly drives me is the impact designs have on people's lives. Whether it's simplifying daily tasks, sparking joy through aesthetic appeal, or promoting sustainability, I'm honored to be playing a role in shaping the world around us. As we commemorate this day, I'm reminded of the passion, creativity, and dedication that define our industry. Here's to all the fellow industrial designers who continue to push the envelope, challenge the status quo, and shape the future through design. Together, let's keep innovating, creating, and making a difference. Cheers to Industrial Design Day! #IndustrialDesignDay #DesignInnovation #healthcaredesign #industrialdesign #productdesign

A passion of mine is music! Playing it, listening, and watching my kids making it part of their lives. I am so looking forward to attending this year's #NAMM2024 show and seeing the new products and innovations the music industry has to offer. So who's going?
