Mitigating Nurses’ Overload in CGTs for Sustainable Care" With multiple CGT clinical trials currently being conducted and an estimated 50 CGTs forecasted to be clinically available by 2030. The growing prominence of CAR T therapies in oncology and the associated complexities are likely to exacerbate nurse burnout. Supporting oncology nurses is vital to ensuring people with cancer are appropriately cared for and guided through their individual journeys in a time of utmost need and vulnerability (Komatsu & Yagasaki, 2014). Call to Action: CGT manufacturers can help patients get access to these potentially life-saving treatments by involving nursing staff early and frequently during the design of product delivery platforms, including patient coordination, cell order logistics, patient education, monitoring, escalation, and the overall treatment journey experience. Nurses are knowledgeable about clinical and operational concerns that need improvement and, consequently, are in the best position to generate and evaluate practical options and potential solutions to improve efficacy and care processes. Paul B. Specht 1925-2023 Paul passed away on November 8th. He was a product designer with an amazing long creative and productive life. He was a man of dignity. He was a storyteller and there was some life wisdom in each of his stories. He was my dear friend. I loved him and I will miss him.
