👨⚕️ Meet our future doctor GioVanni “Gio”, only 5 years old but already aspiring to see patients at Denver Health! One of his favorite activities is when he gets to take his grandma Linda to her appointments at the hospital. Gio says he can't wait to work here and get his badge so patients can know who he is. Currently, Gio's practice is limited to his household where he takes care of his three stuffed animal patients Alex, Steve and “Little Creeper.” Science, math, and astrology keep this superstar engaged, learning and ready for the day he can proudly wear his Denver Health badge. 🌟💙🧸 #DHSpotlight #FutureDoctor #DHCareers

Each legislator received a special glass “Heart of Denver” made by a local artist. Even though everyone couldn't be present for the ceremony, the significance of your support doesn't lessen. It's an honor to be able to count on your continued support for our financial sustainability. Celebrating the beautiful bond of healing and growth! Our Denver Health Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) staff and families gathered to commemorate a heroic journey and heartfelt reunion for our little warriors, their families and the extraordinary care teams who have stood by them. “It's very rewarding for our staff to reunite with children we have cared for in the NICU,” said Jacqueline Dicharry, RN, co-chair of the NICU’s Patient and Family Advisory Committee which hosted the event. “We love to see how much the children have grown and how far they’ve come since they graduated from our NICU.” Every child's smile at the event was a testament of resilience, and every shared story a celebration of their brave beginnings. At the Denver Health #NICU, parents are not just visitors, but vital allies in care. 💚🎓 Watch a CBS News Colorado video recap of the reunion and hear from families and staff at den.health/NICUGrads. #NICUAwarenessMonth #Premies #ReunionParty #NeonatalCare #Resilience #NICUGrads #DHCommunity

Denver Health is lighting up our main campus through Thursday to spread awareness around Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a time to reflect on the lives lost to suicide and promote a greater understanding of how we all can play a role in preventing suicides. Colorado is among the 10 states with the highest suicide rates, but our numbers are on the decline, proving that suicide prevention efforts are working. We encourage everyone to join us for our special event marking the awareness month at Belonging Park (outside Pavilion D) on Denver Health’s main campus on Monday, September 9, from 12:15 to 1p.m. Hear from some of our behavioral health specialists who help those who have struggled with suicidal thoughts and from those who have personal, lived experiences with suicide. Learn more about our Zero Suicide efforts across Denver Health and find out more about becoming a Suicide Prevention Champion. Remember to show your support by wearing teal and purple! 💙💜 #SuicidePreventionAwarenessMonth #SuicidePrevention #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealth #ZeroSuicide #DHBehavioralHealth #SBHC #988Lifeline Public Health Institute at Denver Health
