About us

Dental Health Arlington offers affordable dental care to low-income Tarrant County residents. The organization has two parts - a clinic that provides that dental care to children and adults of Tarrant County, and a school-based program called SMILES that teaches children in Arlington ISD elementary schools about the importance of oral hygiene, then offers free screenings and sealants to these children.

UW is recognized as the Clinic Partner of the Year! Dental Health Arlington proudly announces that the United Way Area Agency on Aging (AAA) has received the Clinic Partner of the Year award! This achievement highlights their dedication to enhancing the lives of older adults in the underserved population. A patient testimony. "Without this dental clinic and programs like AAA, I would not be able to have the confidence to go to work without my front teeth. Not only did you help my self-confidence and met my most immediate need by providing a partial denture to help me chew my food." AAA plays a vital role in our community by: ~Advocating for individuals and their families, ensuring their voices are heard. ~Providing Services that empower older adults to maintain their independence and dignity at home. ~Offering Resources to help navigate complex finances, healthcare, and housing decisions. ~Supporting Caregivers through counseling and training, equipping them with the necessary tools. ~Encouraging Community Participation to ensure everyone can engage fully in society. A key focus of our work at Dental Health Arlington is promoting oral health access, which is crucial for overall well-being. Consider these essential points: ~Poor oral health can lead to significant health issues. ~Medicare does not cover routine dental care, leaving many older adults without access. ~Regular dental checkups and daily oral care are essential, especially for denture wearers. By raising awareness about these challenges, we aim to bridge the gap in oral health access for older adults, particularly those facing economic and social disparities. We are grateful to partner with the Area Agency on Aging to improve the quality of life for our patients. Together, we will continue to advocate for better resources and support systems that enable older adults to thrive. Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission at Dental Health for Arlington. We aim to provide dental access to the underserved and uninsured populations in the community where we live, play, and pray! #UnitedWay #AreaAgencyOnAging #ClinicPartnerOfTheYear #OralHealth #CommunityCare #AgingWell

  • Many children grow up with caregivers who don’t understand what causes dental diseases like tooth decay and gum disease and that they can be prevented by brushing and flossing every day. This can lead to a lifetime of poor oral health that results in serious health issues, poor performance at school, and limited job opportunities. Education is the first step to set families on a healthier track! Join us and America’s ToothFairy to spread awareness about the importance of a healthy smile and how to help communities that face barriers to dental care.
