Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! This Sunday, as we celebrate your dedication and love, please take a moment to appreciate the small victories and the milestones achieved. We as men are not always good about taking stock. Whether you’re flipping burgers or flipping through photo albums, remember that it’s your day to shine. Here’s to perfectly grilled meals (keep an eye on those brats and burgers) and enjoying an adult beverage...or seven. Cheers to you, dads, for all that you do. #fathersday2024 #dadjokes #fathers #strongdads #grilling

6 Ways to Maximize Project Success with Early Engagement of Dearborn Companies 💎 Identification of Potential Pitfalls: When involved from the outset, we can provide an external perspective that often identifies potential design and logistical pitfalls, preventing scheduling delays and budget overruns. For instance, during the late planning stages of a large-scale construction project, after evaluating the initial scope, we identified a transloading opportunity for a large vessel being delivered to the site. This allowed the contractor to avoid unnecessary ground stabilization and protective measures from the original plans, thereby preventing disruptive and expensive modifications. I am just a dopey salesman, but man, I am nothing but impressed by the team at Dearborn Companies that did the real work for our portion of this project. More to come, but these pics represent hours of engineering and countless communications, for a crane lift this upcoming weekend. Shoring towers were installed and inspected below an elevated structure - specifically a sloped bridge. On the top of the bridge deck, in preparation, the corner locations for the outrigger steel pads were marked with a combination of PK nails, survey ribbon, and pink paint. The marks align with shoring tower locations below deck that ultimately will support the crane, rigging and load. Though not needed, good luck to our friends at La Grange and AMS as they take the reins in providing the muscle and mechanical expertise to complete this terrific project. Stay tuned. It's been a bustling time at Dearborn Companies but we wanted to take a minute to extend a sincere thanks to one of our clients, F.H. Paschen, for inviting us to their annual Spring Safety Picnic a couple weeks back. The event was a great opportunity to meet new folks and strengthen existing relationships. Hats off to the entire FHP team for their dedication to safety—hosting events like this not only emphasizes the importance of safety but also enhances company culture by bringing together vendors and subcontractors who truly add value. A special thanks to Bill Taylor, Don Snyder, Dan Erickson, and Robert Eby for allowing us to be part of such an impactful gathering. We look forward to returning in the fall to further share insights about Dearborn's services. Thanks again for a terrific event! #safety #safetyfair #BuildWithPaschen #civilandstructuralengineering #whatsbelowthecrane

🏗 Get to know Dearborn Engineering: One of the most challenging projects undertaken a few years back involved situating a 25-ton carry deck crane, with a hefty weight of 50,000 pounds, atop the ninth-story roof of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago. 🔥 Crane Hotline was gracious to pickup the video: https://lnkd.in/gyQmmhEb Check out others at: https://lnkd.in/gBWmyACK #cranes #craneliftinganothercrane #cranehotline #cranepad #structuralengineering #holysmokes #ironworkers

As Construction Safety Week continues... Strengthen Our Culture: Having an effective safety culture is a critical component of our successes. Communication is the key – trust is the cornerstone. The schools we build, the stadiums we erect, the high rises and shopping malls; the playgrounds and hospitals and the infrastructure projects we work on; they’re each a part of our legacy. They’re a sum of work greater than all of us, and for most of us, they are projects we can be proud of. The rewarding “I built that” message we give to our friends and families is bound by the culture we establish and the safe work habits we engage in. Culture exists in every corner of our lives, and our work culture echoes our own, both at and away from our project sites. https://lnkd.in/eUA9E_xr #constructionsafetyweek2024 #communication #safetyculture #speakup #collaboration #personalownership
