🚋 IoT Enhancing Accessibility for Mobility-Impaired Passengers! ♿️ On Sunday, Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) launched its new fleet of Siemens S700 low-floor light rail vehicles, designed to enhance accessibility for mobility-impaired riders. These modern trains feature low-floor designs and automatic ramps, making it easier for passengers with mobility devices or visual impairments to board safely and comfortably. Initially running on the Gold Line, these new trains will operate alongside legacy high-floor vehicles in the downtown loop. To ensure seamless boarding, SacRT partnered with Davra to deliver real-time updates on train types, positions, routes, and directions via digital message signs (DMS) and public announcement (PA) systems.
