Fast Typer What’s the most random fact you know? The end of our earth’s atmosphere is halfway the distance to the moon. Favorite Emoji? 🤍 Who do you think will be playing on “oldies radio” in 30 years? Taylor Swift What scent brings back memories for you? The scent of rain and a musty basement brings me back to when I used to go to my great grandma’s house in Illinois. What is your favorite type of food? Indian food 🍛 What was your last Netflix binge? New Girl When you are at work how do you motivate yourself? Listen to music, coffee breaks, and building small incentives throughout the workday. ☕ We are so thankful to have Bekah on our team! 💛

🌟 MEET MICHAEL COVINGTON 🌟 Michael is our Vice President of Publishing and Acquisitions and has been with us for 13 years! Get to know Michael 🤩 Fun fact about yourself? Most folks know I love sneakers, most don’t know that I didn’t start collecting them until I was in my mid-forties. My love of sneakers however, ties back to my high school days while attending an American school abroad in the UK. The collection has just been pared (paired?) down to 62 pairs. I know, I know…it’s a problem. If your life was a genre of music, what would it be? Rap. Hip Hop just celebrated its 50th birthday, so we’re roughly the same age (shhhh) – and there are so many great artists in that genre that I grew up with. What's something you only do when you're bored? I hate boredom, so the answer would be anything other than being bored. What is your favorite memory while being at David C Cook? Wow, I have so many, so I’ll pick the first that popped into my head. Company celebration on the front lawn of the HQ. CEO in the dunk tank. One pitch is all it took…and I kept my job. What’s one thing you’ve done that you’d advise others never to try? 60 MPH through a parking lot in a Mini Cooper. Turns out they don’t handle concrete curbs well in those situations. Would you rather be 12 inches tall or 12 feet tall? 12 inches, there are far more accommodations that can be made for diminutive folks than there are for super tall people. Now, if it was 7’ vs 7” I’d go taller (and I’d be in the NBA), but 12’ would be an unlivable situation. What is your favorite thing about your position? It’s a tie – serving an amazing team and helping to shepherd life-giving words into the hearts and minds of readers. We are so thankful to have Michael Covington on our team! 💛

What character from a movie/book/ or show do you relate to the most? Samwise Gamgee Favorite software or platform you like to use? Adobe Illustrator or Procreate. 🖋️ How long would you survive a zombie apocalypse? Not long, no zombie apocalypse. 🧟 What’s the funniest word in the English language? “Potpourri” How do you spell it: “OK” or “Okay”? 🆗 If everything possible were in the Olympics, which event would you win? Big Foot knowledge. What advice do you have for someone interested going into Graphic Design? Find people who are doing what you like and emulate what they’re doing. We are so thankful to have Brian Mellema on our team! 💛
