Previous Job Title: Channel Sales Executive  | Current Job Title:  Channel Sales Team Lead | Tenure a Dataprise: 6 years How are the responsibilities of your new role helping you grow professionally? The responsibility of my new role enables me to further develop our Channel Program and strategically plan for the program’s future success. I have also been given the opportunity to work cross-departmentally to problem solve and improve processes at Dataprise. And I’m able to support new initiatives for the sales team and gain an understanding of how to make business-driven decisions as a sales leader. Were there any specific learning and development opportunities you pursued at Dataprise that helped you get to your current role? Yes—I would say that the opportunity to participate in Dataprise’s HiPo leadership program combined with my experience leading the DP Women’s ERG prepared me take on a more official leadership role at Dataprise. I also have pursued certifications such as the Certified Professional Sales Leader program, Microsoft 365- MS 900 certification, and CompTIA Cloud Essentials cert. What advice would you give someone who is interested in moving into a role like yours? Take advantage of every training opportunity possible! I would highly recommend utilizing your training allotment to help further your leadership, technical or business skills. Also, I would say that it’s important to raise your hand (and keep it up) asking your supervisor/manager for ways to sharpen your leadership skills whether that is providing coverage, leading internal meetings, training new colleagues or providing input/ideas on process improvements.
