Today, we’re celebrating Bill Daniels’ birthday! His generosity, compassion, and optimism are still inspiring positive change to this day. As we think about Bill’s amazing legacy, let’s remember we can all play a part in making his vision a reality. Happy Birthday, Bill!

The final day of SHIFTCollege has arrived! Today, our scholars embarked on a wisdom walk to reflect on their experience and gain invaluable insights about the journey ahead with leaders in our network. Over the past three days, they’ve engaged in inspiring sessions, developed essential skills, and built lasting connections that set them apart as they head into college. Now, as they return home, they are confident and ready to conquer their freshman year.

That’s a wrap on Day 2 of SHIFTCollege! Our scholars had a jam-packed day filled with inspiring speakers, skills workshops, and hands-on activities. The highlight was the New Scholar Celebration, where we officially welcomed the next class of Daniels Scholars alongside community leaders, interviewers, and Daniels Fund staff. The night ended with an epic after-party where our scholars danced the night away! Here’s to another amazing day of learning, growing, and celebrating our incredible community!

SHIFTCollege is here! Every year, we host the new class of Daniels Scholars and provide a hands-on college preparation conference before they begin their freshman year. Scholars travel to Denver to hear from incredible speakers, participate in sessions led by the Daniels Fund scholarship team, engage in experiential learning, and more. Class of 2024 – get ready for Day 2!
