Do you (or someone you know) want to join the OECC? The Data Assistant position supports data entry and data analysis associated with Dane County’s 2020 Climate Action Plan. Duties will include working with Dane County staff in multiple departments as well as utilities and other vendors. The Data Assistant is responsible for tracking and analyzing facility energy and water use along with fleet and equipment fuel consumption. The position will also support OECC’s efforts to report Dane County emissions to various sources. This is a 10-15 hrs/week position that pays $33.13/hour. There are no benefits. The ideal candidate will have strong data skills with great attention to detail. As part of the Elective Pay effort — where tax exempt entities like local governments, schools and nonprofits can get money back on clean energy projects from the US Treasury — the IRS is hosting office hours where they’ll answer your questions. Registration is a required step for applicable entities and eligible taxpayers to take advantage of elective payment or transfer of credits available in the Inflation Reduction Act and CHIPS Act.
