Thomas Built Buses has announced significant enhancements to its Type D product line with the introduction of the Saf-T-Liner HDX2. Known for its flat-front construction, unparalleled driver visibility, and industry-leading passenger capacity, the HDX2 sets a new standard in school transportation.   The HDX2 will begin manufacturing at TBB’s state-of-the-art Saf-T-Liner C2 Plant in Archdale, NC, which will allow them to leverage advanced technology and capabilities, resulting in operational refinements, efficiency gains, and enhanced product quality. Key enhancements include:   -New Exterior Look: Featuring taller and wider windows, new front and rear ends, and C2-style side exit and entrance doors. -Improved Construction: Utilizing Saf-T-Net construction with adhesive technologies and mechanical fasteners for increased safety. Robotic painting capabilities ensure a consistent and durable finish. -Production Rate Flexibility: Modern production lines and automated processes at the C2 plant enable faster delivery times. -Streamlined Service and Maintenance: Integration of common parts between the C2 and HDX lines simplifies service and reduces maintenance complexity.   “The Type D segment has gone without innovation for some time,” said Kevin Bangston, president and CEO of Thomas Built Buses. “At Thomas Built, we’re focused on what our customers need, and we’re excited about how this change will make the next iteration of our Type D buses even better. This investment in the HDX2 is a lever to continue to develop the product and symbolizes our dedication to providing cutting-edge solutions to our customers and continuing to push innovation in the school bus industry.” Learn more here --> https://bit.ly/tbbnewHDX2

Each summer, we have the pleasure of working with some of the brightest minds through our internship program. A highlight of this experience is giving interns the chance to meet, ask questions, and gain industry insights directly from John O'Leary, CEO; Stefan H. Kürschner, CFO; and David Carson, Senior VP of Sales & Marketing. We thrive on a culture of learning and growth, perfectly exemplified by the students who join us each summer. #ForAllWhoKeepTheWorldMoving #WeAreDaimlerTruck #FutureLeaders

We want to create a positive impact on society, the environment, and communities around us. We take our responsibility seriously and recently launched our Corporate Citizenship initiative Daimler Truck Cares, which consolidates all our global efforts in Corporate Giving and Corporate Volunteering.   As part of the initiative, another humanitarian aid convoy from our partner organization "Freunde helfen! Konvoi" today has set off to Moldova with four of our Mercedes-Benz Trucks, several of our employees as drivers, and 32.5 tons of urgently needed relief supplies such as hospital beds for the people in Ukraine.   Yet, our Corporate Citizenship journey has only just begun. While fostering our existing local initiatives and projects, we aim to enhance our global #CorporateCitizenship activities, focused on health & traffic safety, education, environment, and international disaster relief.   #DaimlerTruck #DaimlerTruckCares
